A woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries after shooters fired multiple shots in a Newark South Ward neighborhood Monday evening.
The unidentified female was not shot in the incident but was injured after shooters fired about a half-dozen rounds in the vicinity of 471 Irvine Turner Boulevard.
The victim was struck by broken glass at the scene.
Police were notified of the shooting after a ShotSpotter device was activated in the area. Authorities are trying to determine the target of the shooters.
The suspects fled the scene and remained at large.
