Early morning gunfire erupted in the vicinity of Van Velsor Place and Chancellor Avenue around 5:30 a.m.
When police arrived, they taped the area off and notified a Major Crimes unit after cops found shell casings and other evidence that a shooting had occurred.
Police canvassed the scene for victims, but no injuries were reported.
The suspect was not apprehended and remains at large.
