Newark Public Safety officials report the arrest of Norman Hill, 54, of Newark, who was being sought for a shooting that occurred on Wednesday, September 21.
According to Newark Police, at approximately 12:30 a.m., police responded to Mountainside Medical Center on a report of a victim arriving there for treatment of a non-life-threatening gunshot injury.
Officials said, the victim was reportedly shot in the area of South Orange Avenue and South 19th Street.
Detectives investigating this incident identified Hill as a suspect.
They obtained a warrant for his arrest on charges of aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a firearm for an unlawful purpose, and criminal mischief.
The Newark Police Fugitive Apprehension Team arrested Hill without incident on September 30.
