A Paterson man has been charged with murder after robbery ended with the life of a city man.
Darell Gerard, 24, of Paterson, was charged in the death of 35-year-old Omar Clark, who authorities say was walking near his home last November when he was confronted by two men seeking to rob him.
Clark was shot in the leg by one of the men as he tried to escape. He succumbed to his injury several days later.
Gerard was arrested Friday afternoon at his Paterson home.
His bail was set at $1 million cash.
