NJ State Police are investigating the cause of a crash that pinned a Bergen County driver inside a car on I-80 in Passaic County Sunday morning.
According to Sergeant Alejandro Goez, the crash was reported at 4:24 a.m. in the westbound lanes of I-80 near milepost 54.7 in Totowa.
Sergeant Goez said a Mercedes Benz E Class went off the road and overturned on the guardrail, trapping one person inside the car.
The driver, a 59-year-old male of Montvale, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to an area hospital.
According to Sergeant Goez, no other vehicles or passengers were involved.
The crash remains under investigation.
