Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Acting Paterson Police Chief Bert Ribeiro announce that at approximately 10:41 p.m. on September 18, members of the Paterson Police Department were notified that a 19-year-old male Paterson resident had arrived at Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center seeking treatment for a non-fatal gunshot wound.
According to Paterson Police, based on the preliminary investigation, the victim was walking in the area of Market Street and Summer Street in Paterson when he was shot.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
