Police in Newark quelled a physical altercation between students at a high school in the city’s North Ward Friday.
Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé, said at approximately 3:17 p.m., police responded to Barringer High School, located at 90 Parker Street, on a call of a fight between individuals.
As police arrived, they encountered a crowd with at least two individuals engaged in a physical confrontation.
Director Frage said responding officers broke off the incident and detained one female.
This incident remains under investigation and no severe injuries were reported.
