Newark Police requests the public’s help in identifying a male in connection with a robbery that occurred on Thursday, August 25.
According to officials, at approximately 5:30 p.m., Police responded to the 200 block of Broadway on a call of a robbery. A male victim was struck and kicked by a male suspect who demanded his money.
Police say, the attack caused the victim to fall to the ground, where the suspect removed his cell phone and wallet containing $200.00. The victim was transported to University Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Detectives investigating this incident seek the public’s help in quickly identifying the suspect, described as a Black male with long dreadlocs and wearing a white T-shirt and ripped blue jeans.
