Two individuals suffered severe injuries at the scene of a shooting in a section of Toms River Saturday morning.
A preliminary investigation indicated that at approximately 2 a.m., police responded to reports of shots fired near 1769 Hooper Avenue.
Officers arrived and found two victims struck by gunfire at that location.
One of the injuries was unconscious and unresponsive and required CPR at the scene, according to repsonders.
Police are looking for a silver Mercedes occupied by suspects considered armed and dangerous.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
