Police in Newark are looking for suspects who robbed and assaulted a victim on August 13 in the city’s Ironbound section.
According to officials, Newark Police responded to a call about a robbery in progress that occurred at approximately 1 a.m. in the 60 block of Madison Street.
Police say the victim was walking south on Madison Street when two males wearing surgical masks knocked him to the ground, where they punched and kicked him in the head and face.
After taking his cell phone and wallet containing $600, police said the suspects fled northbound on Madison Street.
According to police, suspect one is 6’0” and 140 pounds. He has a light skin complexion, a thin build and was wearing all black clothing, a sweatshirt with a hood, white sneakers and a surgical mask.
Police say, Suspect two is described as 5’6” to 5’8” and 150 pounds. He has a dark complexion, a short, stocky build, and was wearing a black sweatshirt with a hood, Nike sneakers, light-colored jeans and a surgical mask.
