Newark Police officials request the public’s help with identifying a suspect who assaulted one of two victims he robbed at gunpoint on August 13.
According to police officials, the robbery occurred at approximately 3:13 a.m. in the 200 block of Walnut Street when the suspect, a Hispanic male, approached the victims and demanded money.
After getting cash from the first victim, the suspect struck the second victim in the face with the weapon, causing him to fall down unconscious.
Police said that he took that victim’s money and fled northbound on Jefferson Street.
According to police officials, the suspect, described as 5’5” to 5’7” inches tall, was wearing a grey shirt, blue jean shorts, a black Chicago Bulls hat, and white, black, and green sneakers.
