Police in Newark are looking for an armed suspect wanted for firing shots in a section of the city Wednesday evening.
Officers responded to reports of shots fired in the vicinity of Avon and Jelliff avenues around 5:30 p.m.
Units arrived at the scene and found multiple shell casings, but a search of the location indicated no victims.
Notifications aware made to Newark Major Crimes Response Team to assist in the investigation.
The suspect fled the scene and remained at large.
