NJ State Police officials are investigating a crash that killed a Middlesex County resident on a highway in Lacey Township Friday, day evening.
State Police officials said the crash occurred at 7:23 p.m. on the Garden State Parkway northbound mile marker 72 in Lacey Twp.
Officials said a preliminary investigation revealed that a Chevy Traverse was traveling northbound on the parkway when it ran off the road to the right, went down an embankment, and struck several trees.
Troopers said the driver of the Chevy, Mr. Brian Steiner, 49, of Sayreville, sustained fatal injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
