Newark Police requests the public’s help identifying a female wanted in connection with an assault that occurred on Monday, July.
Newark Police said at approximately 2:45 p.m., Police responded to The Dollar General store, located at 420 Springfield Avenue, on a call of an assault.
According to police, the suspect was advised by an employee that she was not allowed to enter the store due to being involved in a previous shoplifting incident.
Police say the suspect became irate and began threatening the employee, throwing the store’s products around the store, and spitting on the employee.
The suspect then fled into the passenger side of a black 2011 Ford Crown Victoria with NJ license plate number K75RCZ.
Detectives investigating this incident seek the public’s help in identifying this suspect as part of their investigation.
The suspect is described as 5’6” tall, with a medium brown complexion, and was wearing a white t-shirt, pink shorts, and pink hair, tied in a ponytail.
