Newark Police are on the search for Ms. Yolanda K. Edwards, 49, of Newark who is wanted in connection with an armed robbery on July 21.
According to Pooice, officers responded to a call about a robbery that occurred at approximately 2:03 a.m. at a residence in the 100 block of Chadwick Avenue.
Police said Edwards was with the victim but left the apartment with the door open.
Moments later, an unknown man with a firearm entered the apartment demanding money from the victim. He hit the man in the face with the gun and took $3,500 before fleeing.
The suspect is described as a Black male, who was wearing a blue T-shirt, cargo-style pants, and a blue mask covering his face.
According to police, Edwards, a Black female, is described as 5’1” and 220 pounds. She has brown eyes, black hair, a medium brown complexion, and Tattoos on the middle of her chest.
