Police in Newark requests the public’s help in identifying a woman wanted in connection with a theft that occurred on Wednesday, July 20, 2022.
Police said just before 1 p.m., police responded to a business at 661 South 11th Street on a call of a theft.
According to Newark Police, the suspect arrived at the business driving a 4-door, silver Hyundai Sonata.
She entered the business and inquired about a job. After receiving the information, she navigated through the building into an employee lounge area, where she stole cash from the purses of five employees.
Police say the amount stolen totals $533.00.
Detectives investigating this incident are seeking the public’s help in identifying the suspect, who is described as having a medium brown complexion and was wearing a long, black head scarf, black tank top, leopard leggings, and gold and silver sandals.
