Forecasters have issued a snow alert and evening travel advisories in Northern New Jersey as snow is expected to dump 2-4 inches beginning at noon today.
Meteorologist said very light snow will begin to fall at around noon then becoming steady and heavier through the evening rush hour commute dumping about four inches before the snow wraps up later this evening.
The snow is expected to cause some disrupted lights at JFK, LaGuardia and Newark airports so passengers are advised to check with their airline before leaving the house or hotel room.
As the ice and snow taper off at around 6:30 pm, forecasters say roads and walkways will become extremely slippery.
All of this will be a distant memory as Saturday's temperatures are expected to rise to about 50 degrees according to forecasters.
