Police in Jersey City are on the search for a suspect wanted for gunning down two people late Saturday night.
A ShotSpotter device detected multiple rounds of gunfire in the area of 245 16th Street shortly before 10:25 p.m.
Jersey City officers rushed to the scene and found an unidentified male suffering a bullet wound in his leg. While searching the area, officers found a second person struck in his back by bullets.
Both individuals were rushed to Jersey City Medical Center in stable condition while detectives stayed behind and searched for additional victims.
A weapon was recovered near the crime scene, but the suspect fled the area and has not been arrested.
No motive for the shooting was available.
