Police officials in Newark are trying to determine if two individuals found shot are connected to a single crime scene.
According to a preliminary investigation, at approximately 3:50 a.m., police responded to reports of a person shot in the 50's block of 11th Avenue West.
When officers arrived, they found an unidentified male suffering a non-life threatening bullet wound in his arm. He was rushed to University Hospital for treatment and is expected to recover.
Police investigating the shooting were informed that a male gunshot victim entered the Overlook Hospital Union campus on Galloping Hill Road, suffering a bullet wound.
The victim reported to authorities that he suffered his gunshot wounds at an unspecified bar on Bloomfield around 3 a.m.
Police have not immediately confirmed if the pair were together during the shooting and have launched an active and ongoing investigation.
