UPDATE: Swift Arrests for Suspects Wanted for Robbing Newark Gas Station Twice

Police in Newark are reporting the arrest of Mr. Jonathan N. Cummings-Forbes, 20, of Newark, who robbed the same gas twice – once on June 15, 2022, and again on July 13, 2022 – when he assaulted two employees, striking one of them with a weapon.

 

Police said as part of the investigation, Detectives obtained a search warrant and arrested Cummings-Forbes today at his residence in the 100 block of 4th Avenue.  

According to police Ms. Samantha L. Pabon, 19, who also lives there, was arrested and charged with possessing a CDS - heroin.

The first robbery occurred at approximately 1:30 a.m. on June 15 at the Millennium Gas Station, located in the 100 block of Bloomfield Avenue.  

Police said Cummings-Forbes entered a break room at the business, where he punched the gas station attendant several times on his body and took $200 from his pockets.

 On July 13, Cummings-Forbes police said returned to the gas station at approximately 1:53 a.m., this time brandishing a gun that he used to hit another attendant, striking the employee in the head in the break room before taking $1,000 from his pocket.

Cummings-Forbes was charged with robbery, burglary, aggravated assault, and criminal mischief.

These charges are merely accusations.

The suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
