Newark Police request the public's help in identifying a male in connection with a theft from auto that occurred on Monday, June 27.
According to police, a victim reported that their vehicle had been broken into at approximately 11 p.m. while parked in the 100 block of Telford Street. The suspect is seen on a surveillance camera exiting the victim's car.
Police said that missing from the vehicle were a laptop, engagement ring, work bag, New Jersey identification card, and personal papers.
Detectives investigating this incident are seeking the public's help in identifying the suspect, who is described as 6-ft. tall and 160 pounds, wearing a black Yankee cap, black t-shirt, dark-colored pants, and high-top sneakers with a white design on the bottom.
Newark police officials urge anyone with information about the identity of this suspect to call the Division's 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).
All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
