One person suffered non-fatal injuries in a stabbing incident in Newark's East Ward on Saturday morning.
Just before 4:45 a.m., police were dispatched to the area of Ferry and Van Buren streets to investigate reports of an injured person.
A preliminary investigation indicated that the victim entered a local hospital suffering stab wounds in the Ironbound section.
Police reportedly found a crime scene at the above location and initiated an investigation.
The motive for the stabbing is under investigation.
