Two Men Arrested, Charged in Pennsauken Shooting

Following a cooperative investigation, two men have been charged in connection to a shooting that occurred on June 30 in Pennsauken, announced Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Pennsauken Acting Police Chief Phil Olivo.

According to county officials, Tyron Cooper, 34, of Willingboro, is charged with Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purposes, Unlawful Possession of Weapons and Certain Persons Not to Possess Weapons.

Officials also said that Marcus Johnson, 29, is charged with Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purposes, Unlawful Possession of Weapons and Certain Persons Not to Possess Weapons.

According to officials, on Thursday, June 30, just before midnight, detectives of the CCPO Major Crimes Unit and the Pennsauken Township Police Department initiated an investigation after responding to the 4400 block of Marlton Pike, Pennsauken, for a report of a large fight and shootings. 

Two men were struck by the gunfire in the shooting. 

County officials stated that one man was released from the hospital and the other man remains hospitalized.

Officials said that Cooper and Johnson are in custody and will be lodged at the Camden County Correctional Facility.
