Middlesex County officials announced today that a man was charged in connection with a fatal crash that occurred on June 28 on Route 130 in North Brunswick township.
An investigation by the North Brunswick Police Department and the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office determined that on June 28, at 11:50 p.m., authorities responded to the southbound lane of Route 130 near the Farrington Inn following the report of a crash.
According to officials, upon their arrival, authorities determined a vehicle driven by Egrevel Vasquez-Garcia, 27, of Hightstown, struck a vehicle driven by Levelt Alexis, 34, of Linden.
Officials stated that Alexis was transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
On June 29, Vasquez-Garcia was arrested and charged with aggravated manslaughter, vehicular homicide, and assault by auto.
The investigation is active and continuing.
