Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of Michael Stuart, 48, of Paterson, on armed robbery and weapon charges.
According to Prosecutor Musella, During a two-month-long investigation, Stuart was identified as a suspect in an investigation involving multiple armed robberies throughout Northern New Jersey in April and May of 2022.
Prosecutor Musella stated that on Thursday, June 16, members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office arrested Stuart without incident outside a residence in Paterson.
According to Prosecutor Musella, Stuart was charged with the following offenses: armed robbery, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, certain person not to possess a firearm, aggravated assault by pointing a firearm and aggravated assault.
Prosecutor Musella states that the charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
