Police believe road rage is the motive for a shots-fired incident that occurred near a gas station in West Orange on Monday night.
Officers responded to reports of shots fired at the BP Gas Station located in the 80's block of Main Street around 11:20 p.m.
Upon arrival, police taped the area off after locating several shell casings, but no victims were found after officers searched the area.
Police say a blue vehicle and a brown Honda Accord pulled up to the gas station and engaged in a dispute that ended in gunfire.
Authorities placed hospitals in the region on alert for potential walk-in gunshot victims.
Both suspects fled the scene and remained at large.
