Police in Paterson took a juvenile in custody and charged him with possession of a weapon Saturday.
Police investigating in the 70's block of Keen Street were informed that a suspect had a gun around 12:47 a.m.
According to reports, officers canvassed the area, found the suspect fitting the description, and attempted to question the subject.
Police say the suspect fled on foot but was captured a short distance away.
A weapon was recovered during the investigation, but no injuries were reported.
