Police in Newark are investigating the motive behind a stabbing that occurred Saturday morning in the city's South Ward.
At approximately 4 a.m., police were dispatched to an address in the 100 block of Pomona Avenue to investigate reports of an injured person.
Upon arrival, police found the victim suffering a non-life threatening stab wound in his leg.
The victim received treatment and is expected to recover.
The motive for the stabbing has not been confirmed at this time.
