Police in Newark requests the public’s help identifying a suspect, who robbed and assaulted a gas station attendant on June 15.
Police responded to a report about a robbery that occurred around 1:30 a.m. at the Millennium Gas Station, located in the 100 block of Bloomfield Avenue.
According to police, the suspect, captured on surveillance video, entered the business and pushed the gas station to the ground. He punched him several times in the face before going through his pockets and taking $200.
The suspect is described as a 5’8” Black male with a thin build.
Police said the suspect wore all black clothing, including a mask and white socks. He was last seen running eastbound on Bloomfield Avenue and northbound on Summer Avenue.
