Police are looking for a shooting responsible for firing shots in the Vailsburg section of Newark Saturday.
Gunfire erupted in the area of 14 Alexander Street, prompting a police investigation around 8:45 p.m.
Units arrived and found a person suffering a bullet wound in his leg at that location.
Witnesses told officers canvassing the area for additional victims that a second person left the scene in a private vehicle suffering gunshot wounds.
NPD-1 helicopter assists police on the ground search for suspects who reportedly fled the scene immediately after the shooting.
Police reported no arrests in the shooting.
