NJ Transit Police will lead the investigation into a pedestrian struck by one of the agency's trains on Friday morning.
According to NJ Transit Police, at approximately 2:15 a.m., Main Line train number 1101 departed Hoboken at 1:32 a.m. and was scheduled to arrive in Suffern, N.Y., at 2:42 a.m.
The train struck and fatally injured an adult male pedestrian.
Officials said the incident happened just east of the Glen Rock Main Line station.
According to NJ Transit, there were no reported injuries to the crew and the ten customers on board.
Officials reported no service disruption as this was the last train of the night.
The victim has not been identified at this time.
