Authorities reported non-fatal injuries for a shooting incident in Newark's South Ward on Tuesday night.
Police responded to reports of shots fired in the 600 block of South 11th Street around 9:45 p.m
When offices arrived at the scene, they found a male victim suffering a bullet wound in his leg at that location.
The victim was transported to University Hospital for treatment and is expected to recover.
Police say a ShotSpotter Device alerted authorities of the shooting. The suspect fled the scene and is at large.
