An active investigation is underway into a police-involved shooting in Newark’s North Ward.
It happened around 1:30 p.m. on the Passaic River side of Passaic Street near Oriental.
At least one Newark Police Officer reportedly fired their weapon after being rammed by a stolen vehicle.
The suspect crashed near exit 5 on NJ-21. He was taken into custody and authorities are reporting no injuries at this time.
Officials have not released the circumstance behind the shooting.
