Police in Newark are looking for suspects wanted for armed robberies in sections of Newark overnight.
Authorities from NJIT were notified of a person robbed near the intersection of Hoyt and Central Avenue just after midnight.
Officers arrived and were told by a male victim that 4-5 suspects exited a dark-colored BMW and took personal possessions before speeding away for the scene southbound on Martin Luther King Boulevard.
Police learned that the vehicle, a black BMW X7 with a license plate number "W19MBK" was reported stolen in Spring Lakes.
Newark Police also believe that the same suspects are wanted for two other overnight robberies including one in the 100 block of Bloomfield and Avenue and another in the South Ward.
Police caught up with the driver around 4:30 a.m. and began to follow the car through several sections of Newark but the driver refused to stop.
Officers ended the chase near Lincoln Park after the suspect drove erratically and sped the wrong way on one-way streets.
No arrests have been reported.
