A male suffered injuries during a shooting incident in Jersey City on Wednesday night.
According to police, at approximately 9:57 p.m., officers responded to reports of shots fired in the vicinity of Martin Luther King Drive and Virginia Avenue.
Upon arrival, police found shell casings and a male victim suffering a head injury at that location.
While investigating, police learned that bullets did not strike the victim. He hit his head while getting away from a gunman who fired in his direction.
The victim was treated for the non-life-threatening injury while police collected two shell casings at the scene.
Police have not released a motive for the shooting. The suspect is at large.
