A male gunshot victim was transported to a regional medical center suffering bullet wounds after gunfire erupted in a section of Trenton late Monday night.
Police responded to reports of shots fired near 38 Walnut Street around 11:17 p.m.
Officers making their way to the scene found the victim suffering serious injuries at that location.
According to preliminary reports, a gunman approached the victim and fired rounds in his direction.
Police have not released the motive for the shooting.
Police say the suspect ran from the scene and is at large.
No other injuries were reported.
