Middlesex County officials reported that a Perth Amboy man has been apprehended and charged with the fatal stabbing of Mr. Barry Idesis, 47, of Perth Amboy.
According to the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office, on Saturday, April 30, police arrested Mr. Elbin Rodriguez, 26, of Perth Amboy in New York with the assistance of the New Jersey State Police Fugitive Unit and the United States Marshals Service New Jersey/New York Regional Task Force.
Rodriguez was charged with one count of first-degree murder, third-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, third-degree unlawful possession of a weapon and fourth-degree tampering with physical evidence.
Rodriguez is presently lodged at the Middlesex County Adult Correction Center pending a pre-trial detention hearing in Superior Court.
