Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes announces the arrest of Pedro Perez-Guadalupe, 42, of Clifton.
Mr. Perez-Guadalupe was arrested on April 27 after an investigation conducted by the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit.
According to Prosecutor Valdes, Mr. Perez-Guadalupe is charged with Aggravated Explicit Assault, Explicit Assault, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Kidnapping and Hindering Apprehension regarding one minor under the age of thirteen.
Prosecutor Valdes said that Mr. Perez-Guadalupe is also charged with Explicit Assault and Endangering the Welfare of a Minor for engaging in explicit acts with a second minor under the age of thirteen.
According to Prosecutor Valdes, on April 6, the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit was contacted by school staff members to report that a minor disclosed being explicitly assaulted in the past by the Mr. Perez-Guadalupe.
Prosecutor’s Office Detectives were able to interview multiple witnesses, including an alleged victim who disclosed being explicitly assaulted by Mr. Perez-Guadalupe on multiple occasions at a residence in Passaic.
During the investigation, it was also discovered that a second minor disclosed being explicitly assaulted by Mr. Perez-Guadalupe on multiple occasions at a residence in Passaic.
As a result of the investigation, Mr. Perez-Guadalupe was charged accordingly.
Mr. Perez-Guadalupe is presently detained at the Passaic County Jail.
The Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office has filed a motion for pretrial detention which will be heard before a Superior Court Judge early next week.
