The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for North Jersey.
The current weather data suggests that there may experience a few scattered showers in the area by 4:00 - 5:00 p.m.
There will be a much better chance of showers and thunderstorms between 8:00 - 11:00 p.m. this evening as the storms move through.
The storms could produce wind gusts of 50-60 mph, brief heavy downpours, lightning and maybe some small hail.
There have been some reports regarding the potential of a tornado; however, the data suggests that the risk of a tornado looks very low at this time. The main concern at this time is the wind gusts.
