Newark Police seeks the public’s help with identifying a suspect who was captured on surveillance breaking into a van and stealing power tools on March 29.
According to police, officers responded to a call about a burglary that occurred around 5:15 p.m. in the 600 block of Ferry Street.
Police say the victim told officers that he parked his vehicle at 4:30 p.m. on Ferry Street.
When he returned at 6:30 p.m., the front passenger door of the van was damaged and his power tools were missing.
After the burglary, the suspect was captured on surveillance video driving a Buick Regal with fictitious temporary tags.
