Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II, and Orange Police Director Todd Warren announced today that the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide/Major Crimes Task Force and the Orange Police Department are investigating a fatal shooting.
County officials said at approximately 5:18 p.m. Wednesday, officers from the Orange Police Department were dispatched to the 500 block of Scotland Road in the City of Orange.
When they arrived, they discovered Mr. Anton Douglas, 24, suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 5:35 p.m.
No arrests have been made.
