One person suffered non-life-threatening stab wounds in an incident in Newark's downtown on Sunday morning.
Police responded to reports of an assault in progress near the Taj Lounge 973 located in the 30's block of Edison Place around 12:50 a.m.
When police arrived and found blood evidence near the bar, but no victim was located.
University Hospital officials notified police when the victim arrived at the emergency room suffering a stab wound in their face.
There were no other injuries and no arrests immediately reported.
The investigation remains active.
