Several people suffered injuries after a car crash on a highway in Passaic County Sunday night.
The single-car collision happened around 11:20 p.m. in the southbound lanes of NJ-19 just before the I-80.
Emergency responders arrived and found a car off the roadway and slammed into a tree with trapped occupants inside.
Firefighters extricated about three victims from the severely damaged car, who were then transported to St. Joseph's Hospital for treatment.
Paterson Police officials are investigating the cause of the wreck.
