Police officers in Newark's East Ward are credited with recovering a weapon and arresting suspects involved in the incident Saturday morning.
According to reports, an investigation into possible armed individuals 60's block of Houston Street had police on the scene before 4 a.m.
Police arrived and found a loaded weapon, then took two suspects into custody without further incident.
The unidentified assailants were reportedly transported to the Essex County Jail for processing and the incident remains under investigation.
