Jersey City Police are looking for a suspect wanted for a violent stabbing attack on a person Saturday night.
A preliminary investigation indicated that the incident unfolded in the 60's block of Lexington Avenue around 8:41 p.m.
Officers were dispatched to the scene to investigate reports of an injured person.
When police arrived, they found an unidentified person suffering a stab wound in their face. EMS units were requested to rush to the scene while police attempted to aid the bleeding victim.
Police believe that the victim fled the scene northbound on JFK Boulevard as is possibly injured.
The victim was transported to Jersey City Medical Center and listed in serious but stable condition.
The motive for the attack is under investigation.
