Police in Newark requests the public’s help in identifying a male suspect wanted in connection with an assault that occurred today.
Police said at approximately 10 a.m., police responded to Ferry Street near Merchant Street on a call of an injured person.
According to police, the suspect was riding a skateboard punched a male senior citizen who was walking in the area.
The victim was knocked unconscious and was transported to University Hospital for treatment. He is reportedly in stable condition.
Detectives investigating this incident seek the public’s help in quickly identifying this suspect as part of their investigation.
The suspect was wearing a black jacket, red hooded sweater, beige pants and red sneakers.
Police say he was also riding a skateboard.
