Police in Newark recovered two stolen vehicles used during a carjacking incident in Elizabeth on Thursday.
According to preliminary information, Elizabeth Police were notified of a day-time carjacking on Jackson Avenue that involved a female victim.
Suspects occupying a dark-colored Range Rover forced a woman from her white Range Rover then sped from the scene in the vehicle after reportedly dragging the victim.
Newark Police chased the vehicles around several sections of Newark, where they finally recovered both Range Roves, but the suspects reportedly jumped into a white BMW X5 that was stolen out of Long Branch.
Suspects in that vehicle also led police on a pursuit where officers lost track of the car near the Irvington Township border.
Elizabeth Police were notified by Newark authorities to recover the carjacked and the stolen Range Rovers that were found abandoned in the city.
