Newark Police are looking into the motive behind a slashing incident that occurred Sunday morning in the city's West Ward.
It happened around 4:35 a.m. in the vicinity of 476 South 18th Street.
Police arrived at the scene and found a woman suffering a large laceration and requested EMS to expedite to the location.
The victim was transported to University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
One other person received medical attention from EMS.
Authorities are looking into a possible domestic dispute that resulted in the attack.
