Authorities in Passaic County reported that at approximately 5:08 p.m. Thursday, Paterson Police responded to the area of Governor and Carroll streets after a report of shots fired.
Officials said police located a potential crime scene upon arrival, but no victim was found.
A short time later, authorities were notified that a 23-year-old Paterson man arrived at Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center via private vehicle seeking treatment for a non-fatal gunshot wound.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
