Jersey City Police are investigating a shooting that injured two males in a section of the city Saturday evening.
In the incident, police said at approximately 5:40 p.m., police found a male victim inside a crashed vehicle suffering bullet wounds near Garfield and Communipaw.
The unidentified male suffered a bullet wound in his chest that reportedly exited his back.
Police say the victim was transported to Jersey City Medical Center for treatment and is in serious condition.
A second male who suffered gunshot wounds to his buttocks and had a broken leg entered the medical center shortly after.
Police believe they found a crime scene with shell casings and blood evidence at Harmon and Randolph during the overnight hours.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation and the suspects are at large.
